We are looking for a customer-focused, highly motivated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team.
In this role, you will carry out aircraft maintenance, inspections and certification within your scope of authorisation, ensuring all work meets aviation and airworthiness standards.
You will contribute to safe, reliable operations by maintaining accurate continuing airworthiness records, supporting Maintenance Managers, and providing task sign-off and technical advice.
What you'll be doing
Conduct maintenance, inspections and certification IAW DASR 145 requirements.
Ensure aircraft remain airworthy and compliant with regulatory standards.
Endorse all completed maintenance and GA tasking (as required) in the aircraft record system.
Support daily aviation operations with task sign-off and technical support.
Mentor and guide junior technicians as part of OJT progression.
What you'll bring
Certificate IV (or higher) in Aeroskills – Mechanical.
Relevant aircraft trade qualifications (apprenticeship, trade papers, indentures).
MAML on applicable aircraft type.
Completion of platform safety courses, system/component training and demonstrated competence in authorised tasks.
Understanding of PBED, WH&S requirements, and Human Factors in maintenance.
Strong knowledge of DASRs and compliance requirements.
Essential requirements:
Ability to work a rotating roster.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance (AGSVA).
Meets authorisation requirements under 16 Avn Bde DASR 145 MOE.
