The Central Australian Women's Legal Service (CAWLS) is seeking a Policy & Research Officer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about advancing women's legal rights, law reform, and community advocacy in Central Australia and the Barkly region.

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct research and analysis to inform law reform, policy, and advocacy initiatives
* Draft submissions, reports, briefs, and other policy documents
* Support projects, campaigns, and stakeholder engagement activities
* Develop content for community education, websites, and social media
* Contribute to grant writing and project acquittals
* Represent CAWLS in professional networks and partnerships
* Ensure compliance with organisational policies and funding requirements
Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in law and/or public policy
* Experience producing law reform submissions, policy briefs, or advocacy documents
* Understanding of domestic and family violence dynamics
* Knowledge of social, legal, and economic issues affecting women in Central Australia & Barkly
* Strong written, oral, and digital communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Current NT Driver's License, NT Ochre Card, and Criminal History Check (or ability to obtain)
* Experience in community legal services
* Experience working with Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, or CALD communities
