The Role
This role is a night shift opportunity, reporting to the Senior Underground Geologist. You will be responsible for geological data collection and coordination for optimum ore extraction in our underground mines.
Duties:
* Underground mapping of ore and waste
* Providing direction for ore development headings
You will also occasionally oversee core processing, including core orientation, meter marking, RQD assessments, photography, sampling, cutting, and dispatch.
About You
You will need previous experience working underground and at least one year of core yard experience. Key attributes include an understanding of mine planning and contractor management, general knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and relevant regulations, foundational understanding of geology, QAQC protocols, and diamond drilling core processing, proficiency in MS Office applications, and a keen eye for detail.
