Are you a driven and experienced Senior Accountant looking to take the next step in your career? At RSM Ballarat, we\'re expanding and seeking passionate professionals who are ready to embrace new challenges, grow their expertise, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team.
As a Senior Accountant, you\'ll play a key role in delivering high‐quality accounting and advisory services to a diverse client base. You will analyse financial data, prepare accurate reports, and ensure compliance with relevant tax and accounting standards. This role also offers opportunities to work closely with Partners and clients, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the ongoing success of the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare clear, concise and accurate work papers, that serve as evidence of work performed
* Deliver tailored tax advice across income tax, GST, capital gains tax, and fringe benefits tax
* Preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns
* Support and mentor graduates and junior staff
* Help identify, research and resolve all complex accounting issues
* Work closely with clients across a variety of industries to support their commercial and compliance needs
Eligibility to work permanently in Australia is required for this role. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this opportunity.
About you
* Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major
* Completion of CA or CPA
Demonstrated Experience & Attributes
* Minimum 2 years in a similar role
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* High attention to detail and a proactive mindset
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Committed to continuing professional development
