About the role
We are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Unite32 team. Laing O'Rourke has been appointed by the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) as the Delivery Partner for the $7.1bn Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Venues Infrastructure Program. Join the team to help deliver world‐class venues and infrastructure that will leave a lasting legacy for Queensland.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver commercial requirements of the project.
* Prepare and submit progress claims and ensure their timely payment.
* Advise the project management team on contractual issues and initiate correspondence.
* Prepare, review and submit reports to prescribed timescales (including equipment and cost reports).
* Review change management opportunities.
About you
* Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Commercial Law.
* MRICS membership or working towards membership.
* Intermediate level of experience in a similar role within large‐scale infrastructure, construction, rail or heavy industrial environments.
* Comprehensive knowledge of contract management, program financial management, risk and opportunity management, performance reporting, budget preparation and administration.
* High level of technical and negotiation skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to liaise confidently with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
