Your new company
Operating for 80 + years, this prominent industry leader specialises in producing various types of engines and related products. With a long history and a global presence, they are known for their innovation and reliability. They now have a need for an Export Coordinator to join their small team in Melbourne's southeast on a 13-month, FTC basis.
Your new role
As an Export Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating export orders and documentation. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing effective liaison with customers on export orders and enquiries.
* Creating and maintaining sales orders.
* Maintaining the export to-do list and journal for export shipments.
* Monitoring export sales orders and back orders.
* Communicating with internal teams (Sales Manager, Customer Service Team, Warehouse & Finance Team) and external customers (dealers, distributors, freight forwarders).
* Preparing picking slips for warehouse processing.
* Liaising with freight forwarders, arranging shipments, and preparing export shipping documents.
* Maintaining export registers and filing away export folders once completed.
* Compiling export documents for monthly internal audits.
* Approving all export service provider invoices against rates/quotes.
* Monitoring service levels and vendor relationships.
* Maintaining export fulfilment processes in line with customer needs, company service standards, and Australian customs requirements.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Logistics/Supply chain education is preferable
* 1 year+ experience in export documentation and previous experience within the distribution industry
* Experience with Microsoft D365 is preferable
* Competent clerical/computer/word processing skills
* Good customer liaison skills
* Knowledge of export procedures and documentation.
