About the role
The Education Support Officer is supervised by the Teacher- in-Charge or Head Teacher and works under the direction of a teacher as appropriate. The role is responsible for a range of activities which support learners and enhance the student learning experience and educative processes. You will provide support to a diverse range of learners, ensuring that student outcomes are at the forefront of your decision making.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications (Diploma of Nursing and or Bachelor of Nursing) and a commitment to maintain technical currency in Nursing field and other relevant areas or equivalent
Minimum qualification of a Diploma of Nursing and current AHPRA registration
Must have at least two years of experience working as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse in an acute care setting, with hands-on experience in the nursing industry within the past two years.
Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team.
Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
