**Salary package**:$115,511 - $123,519 per annum (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation
**Term**: Part time (24.5 hours per week, 0.7 FTE), Fixed Term (up to 11 months)
**The Position**
This is a key role in a friendly, motivated team of scientists and engineers. This multidisciplinary team at the ANU Node of the Australian Plant Phenomics Facility (APPF) delivers cutting-edge plant phenotyping capabilities to plant researchers from across Australia and beyond, developing solutions for global challenges in agriculture and other industries.
With no two days being the same, this role is integral to the support of the ANU Node of the APPF, including financial management, reporting, and client engagement. The new Business and Administration Manager will work with the node's Director and team members on developing budgets for the node, managing contracts, and producing reports to meet contractual milestones with our internal and external stakeholders, including the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS). The Business and Administration Manager will also help manage client relations for the APPF node, including attending meetings and conferences to represent the interests of the node, attracting new clients via outreach, and supporting research projects (e.g. providing quotes, invoicing). Importantly, the new Business and Administration Manager will help the Director oversee and develop strategic plans for the node, including assisting with new infrastructure projects and team career development opportunities.
**The Person**
We are looking for a qualified Business and Administration Manager with experience in understanding financial reports, tracking budgets and producing reports to support the ANU node of the APPF.
We are looking for a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with colleagues and clients. Highly developed organisational skills and effective self-management are key.
The successful applicant will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrate a capacity for critical analysis and attention to detail, and the ability to work with competing deadlines in a dynamic service-based environment. A proven ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential, as is an accessible and constructive approach to project work and management. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to the delivery of client-based outcomes, be resourceful, and show initiative to meet the University's needs.
