Where You'll Be Working
This position is based at Manning Hospital in Taree, located in the stunning Manning Valley and within easy reach of pristine beaches and scenic bushland. Taree is less than two hours north of Newcastle and around four hours from Sydney, with a range of charming coastal towns close by.

Manning Hospital is a 202-bed facility offering a broad range of specialty services. In this role, you will work across a diverse caseload and provide services to patients throughout the hospital. You will be part of a dynamic and highly regarded team of clinical dietitians who are committed to evidence-based best practice, value ongoing professional development, and are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge and expertise.

What You'll Be Doing
You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred clinical services to patients and their families or carers, supporting positive health outcomes across the service. This includes applying evidence-based practice to assess, plan and deliver care, while addressing a wide range of clinical needs such as therapeutic interventions, health promotion activities, patient and carer education, and involvement in research initiatives.

The role requires you to manage competing priorities in environments that can be both professionally and emotionally demanding, while consistently providing safe, compassionate and timely care. You will use strong clinical judgement and organisational skills to balance workload demands and service requirements, while maintaining a clear professional identity and ensuring care aligns with clinical standards, organisational policies and ethical practice.

You are a highly motivated and proactive professional who takes initiative, identifies opportunities for improvement and confidently takes ownership of your work. You thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

You work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing positively to shared goals and supporting colleagues to achieve high-quality outcomes. You are also committed to continuous professional development, actively building your skills and knowledge and sharing ideas and best practices to strengthen team performance.

Requirements

* Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.

* An eligibility list will be created for future temporary part time vacancies.
* To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. * Demonstrated ability to lead planning and evaluation of team activities.
* Demonstrated ability to meet the supervision needs of students and/or less experienced staff.
