Overview
BARAM CONSTRUCTION PTY LTD is hiring a full-time Tiler role in Leeming, WA. This is a full-time, ongoing position with opportunities to contribute to residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing surfaces for tiling, including cleaning, levelling, and waterproofing where required
* Measuring and marking surfaces to lay out work in accordance with plans and specifications
* Cutting and shaping tiles (ceramic, porcelain, stone, mosaic) to fit around obstacles and into awkward spaces using hand and power tools
* Mixing, applying, and spreading adhesives, mortar, and grout
* Laying and fixing wall and floor tiles to achieve a high-quality finish
* Applying sealants and polishing finished surfaces
* Removing old or damaged tiles and preparing areas for retiling
* Working safely in accordance with WHS regulations and company policies
* Maintaining tools, equipment, and a tidy work site
* Liaising with site supervisors, other trades, and clients as required
Selection Criteria
Essential:
* Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or equivalent)
* Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler
* Proven ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
* Strong knowledge of tiling materials, waterproofing, and surface preparation techniques
* Proficiency with tiling tools and equipment (wet saws, tile cutters, trowels, etc.)
* White Card (Construction Induction Training) – WA
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Good English communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable, punctual, and physically fit for on-site work
Desirable:
* Valid Australian driver's licence and own transport
* Experience on both residential and commercial projects
* Experience with large-format tiles and natural stone
* Current First Aid Certificate

* Annual salary: $76,515 + Superannuation
