Job Role Overview
This role involves delivering timely, safe and effective care for patients presenting with non-life-threatening urgent conditions in the Sapphire Coast community.
Main Responsibilities:
* Triage and assess patients, ensuring appropriate care pathways are followed to provide high-quality patient outcomes.
* Support registered nurses and clinicians in delivering hands-on care, including wound management, plastering and medication administration within their scope of practice.
* Maintain a balance between clinical responsibilities and administrative tasks that support smooth daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
* Communicate clearly, concisely and empathetically with patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns effectively.
* Document accurately and maintain up-to-date records to ensure continuity and quality of care, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
* Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to clinical and safety procedures, promoting a culture of patient safety and well-being.
* Collaborate effectively with the clinical team to create a calm, organized and patient-focused environment, fostering a positive and supportive work culture.
Key Qualifications:
* Registered nurse or relevant healthcare professional qualification
* Experience in urgent care or similar healthcare setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing situations
