Job Title: Safety and Risk Manager


Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Risk Manager to join our organization in Perth, Western Australia.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Safety and Risk Officer (CSRO) and serve as a business partner and compliance adviser. The key responsibilities include:

* Providing stakeholders with timely and accurate safety advice, support, and education.
* Developing, maintaining, and improving the safety and risk management system and documents.
* Assisting stakeholders in developing and implementing work-level risk assessments, including safety plans and/or SWMS.
* Overseeing and ensuring the suitability of worker induction programs (employee and contractor).
* Monitoring Permit to Work systems to ensure compliance.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess the following essential capabilities:

* Exposure to construction and high-risk works.
* Ability to monitor and provide feedback to contractors/tradespersons, providing guidance and advice to achieve safe outcomes.
* Understanding strategic objectives, trends, and factors that may influence work plans.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, team members, and colleagues.

The successful candidate should hold a tertiary qualification in Safety Management or a related field and possess relevant industry certifications such as the WA Construction Industry White Card.
