Opportunity
We have an opportunity for two (2) detail‐oriented individuals to provide a range of specialist administrative and technical services within the Community, Environment and Planning directorate, including carrying out preliminary review of development applications and assisting in the delivery of development and land use assessment through a range of administration and technical tasks.
As a Development Support Officer, you will provide comprehensive administrative support across the Planning & Sustainability section, including the collation and analysis of data, preparation of research and statistical reports, and the processing and verification of lodgement details for development and subdivision certificate applications. You will also undertake preliminary reviews of applications and certificates, and receive, register and acknowledge subdivision plans in accordance with statutory requirements.

About You
We are seeking two (2) individuals who hold a Certificate IV in business administration, town planning or another similar level qualification in a discipline appropriate to this position.
* Advanced computer skills, including operation of databases, spreadsheets and MS Office programs.
* Skills in undertaking research, analysis and reporting.
* Demonstrated skill in the interpretation and application of planning legislation, including (but not limited to) Local Environmental Plans (LEPs), Development Control Plans (DCPs) and Council policies.
* Proficiency in the interpretation of mapping information.
Salary Package
* $1,437.60 per week base salary (paid pro rata)
* $172.51 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%) (paid pro rata)
