Cardiac Care Specialist
Operate and maintain all X-Ray and hemodynamic equipment in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Provide direct care to surgical patients with primary emphasis on the intra-operative period and responsibility for pre-operative assessment and post-operative evaluation while applying age specific needs in the assessment, treatment and/or care of patient.
The ideal candidate will possess substantial knowledge, judgment and skill based upon the principles of the biological, psychological and social sciences. Responsible for the general functioning of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and its necessary supplies and equipment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Accurate documentation and charging.
* Critically thinks and anticipates the needs of the patient and the surgeon.
* Assists with the orientation of new personnel.
* Takes call as assigned.
* Cross trained to monitor, circulate, scrub and operate all cath lab equipment.
* Participates in the safety management and infection control programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.
* Currently registered with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) and the TDH (Texas Department of Health).
