About the Policy, Performance, International and Intergovernmental Division:
The Policy, Performance, International and Intergovernmental Division, takes a strategic approach to the portfolio's policy, intergovernmental relations, performance, legislation, monitoring, reporting, and governance functions across early childhood, schooling and racing, at a whole-of-government and national level.
**About the Role**:
**As the Assistant Director-General, you will**:
- Provide Executive Leadership and management on all areas that pertain to strategic policy and research, in addition to the legislative agenda, racing policy and funding.
- You will support education service delivery on Norfolk Island, oversee non-state school funding arrangements and statutory appointment processes.
Play a critical role in contributing to the development and implementation of the department's corporate direction, particularly organisational strategies and associated legislation. You will be a senior executive leader who is forward thinking, contemporary, strategic, inspirational and resilient. We're looking for an executive who is committed to high quality, customer centricity and visionary.
More specifically you will demonstrate the executive leadership competencies for executives in the Queensland Public Sector Leadership competencies for Queensland (forgov.qld.gov.au)
This role requires some travel across Australia and internationally to deliver on the strategy and performance of the department.
