Overview

Business Development Manager - Fixed Term Contract. This is a 6-month parental leave cover. The ideal candidate will be based in Hobart or surrounds with this territory covering all Southern Tasmania. There is a travel requirement of 1 overnight per month. A full driver's licence is required, as travel throughout the territory is an essential part of the role.

Reporting into the Field Sales Manager you will be part of a team of energetic Business Development Managers in Diageo Australia. This role provides a stepping stone into the world of sales, expanding market presence and driving revenue growth with key on and off-premise customers. You will learn from industry leaders through formal training, mentoring, and real-world experience, while building a strong professional network.


Responsibilities

* Know your market: monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for growth.
* Engage and build relationships with on and off-premise customers: conduct regular sales calls and product presentations to retail partners and distributors to drive knowledge and sell-through.
* Drive sales growth across a broad portfolio of brands: develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, in collaboration with the wider sales team.
* Collaborate with wider teams: work closely with sales, marketing and supply to drive brand expansion initiatives and product visibility.
* Negotiations: lead contractual negotiations with potential clients to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong relationships.
