Allied Health Practice / Administration Manager
Make an Impact in a Role That Keeps Everything Running Smoothly
Apricus Health is a Great Place to Work certified allied health organisation known for doing things better, enhancing lives, and being proud of what we do.
We are seeking an experienced, organised and people-focused Practice / Administration Manager to lead our support team and ensure our clinics operate efficiently, safely, and with heart.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on keeping things running smoothly, and takes pride in creating a welcoming, professional and well-organised environment for our clients and team.
About the Role
As Practice / Administration Manager, you'll be responsible for leading our administrative and therapy assistant team, ensuring the smooth, efficient and professional operation of our clinics.
Based primarily at our Pimlico clinic, you'll also provide support at our North Shore site when required and maintain oversight of our clinics in Ayr and Ingham ensuring that each site operates with the same high standard of organisation, efficiency and client experience that Apricus Health is known for across Townsville.
You'll work closely with, and be supported by, our Operations Manager and Head of Clinical Services, collaborating to ensure seamless systems, efficient workflows and a positive experience for both clients and our team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, supporting and rostering a team of Administration and Therapy Assistant staff across multiple clinics.
Overseeing client experience and journeys, ensuring appointments, communication and service delivery are seamless and professional.
Managing and overseeing billing, invoicing and debtor follow-up in alignment with reception processes to support smooth client transactions and accurate record-keeping.
Managing stock control and supplier relationships, including stationery, clinical consumables, printing, telephones, IT support and equipment leases.
Overseeing clinic governance and operations, ensuring vehicles are serviced, maintaining equipment, and sites remain safe, clean and compliant.
Ensuring reception and clinic spaces are welcoming, tidy and well-organised, in line with Apricus Health's values and brand.
Coordinating cleaning, maintenance and facility schedules.
Supporting workflow improvements and assisting the leadership team in implementing efficient systems and processes.
Providing hands-on reception support when required, maintaining a strong understanding of client-facing operations.
You're a confident, kind and compassionate leader who thrives on teamwork and enjoys supporting others to succeed.
You bring warmth, energy and genuine enthusiasm to your work — the kind of person who lifts those around you and approaches each day with positivity and purpose.
You'll bring:
At least 3 years experience in practice management, client services, or team leadership – ideally within an allied health or medical setting.
A can-do attitude and the ability to think on your feet; you take initiative, solve problems proactively and keep things moving forward.
Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities calmly and effectively.
A solutions-focused approach; you respond to challenges with professionalism, optimism and grace.
Confidence to step into difficult conversations when they matter, communicating with clarity, care and respect to resolve issues, support your team and maintain strong working relationships.
A keen eye for detail and pride in maintaining high standards across facilities, presentation and client experience.
A hands-on mindset; you're as comfortable greeting clients at reception as you are coordinating rosters, stock or supplier contracts.
A current driver's licence and the right to work in Australia.
Why Join Apricus Health?
Flexibility that works for you – enjoy a full-time role with the option of a 9-day fortnight for greater work–life balance.
Leadership development – we'll invest in you with a fully funded place in Brené Brown's Dare to LeadTM program, including paid time off to complete it.
Wellbeing & culture – benefit from our wellness budget (gym, yoga, massage), paid birthday leave, and a confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your partner.
A supportive, values-driven environment – recognition, collaboration and celebration are part of who we are.
Why It Matters
At Apricus Health, we're passionate about providing exceptional, individualised care to every client we serve.
It's what we're known for, and what drives us every day.
But we also know that this level of care doesn't happen by accident — it's built on strong systems, dedicated people, and the smooth coordination that happens behind the scenes.
This role plays a vital part in making that possible.
When the day-to-day operations of our clinics run seamlessly, when appointments flow smoothly, cars are serviced, stock is ready, and reception is warm and welcoming, our clinicians are free to focus on what they do best: enhancing lives through high-quality, compassionate care.
Your leadership, energy and attention to detail will be the steady force that keeps those wheels turning.
You'll be the person who ensures our teams have what they need, our clients feel cared for from the moment they walk in, and our commitment to excellence is upheld in every small detail.
Because at Apricus Health, we know that when things work well behind the scenes, our clients — and our team — thrive.
