About the role
Reporting to the National Service Manager, you will have overall responsibility for overseeing the NSW and ACT service operations. This senior, hands‐on leadership role suits a driven professional who thrives in fast‐paced environments and values strong customer outcomes.
You'll lead technicians, a supervisor, service coordinators, and subcontractors, ensuring consistent, high‐quality service delivery while driving operational improvement and commercial performance.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and manage all facets of the service business unit across NSW & ACT
* Motivate, coach, and develop a high‐performing team of technicians and coordinators
* Oversee and expand the subcontractor network to meet operational demands
* Ensure service delivery meets KPIs, quality standards, and customer expectations
* Conduct audits and implement improvements to drive service excellence
* Maintain high standards of technical repair quality and compliance
* Build strong customer relationships with a service‐first and solutions‐focused mindset
* Monitor budgets, forecasting, and business metrics to achieve financial targets
* Ensure compliance with WH&S policies and promote a strong safety culture
About you
You're a confident, people-focused leader with a strong operational mindset and technical capability. You balance commercial awareness with hands‐on problem-solving and thrive in a role where you can make a genuine impact.
You will bring:
* 5+ years' experience managing a service department (small to mid‐sized business preferred)
* Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to understand complex systems
* Proven leadership experience in mentoring and engaging teams
* Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, and interpreting financial statements
* Strong operational, safety, and compliance knowledge (WH&S essential)
* Excellent communication skills and a customer‐centric approach
* A proactive, accountable leadership style with a continuous improvement mindset
