MedicalDirector is part of the Telstra Health group, Australia's largest e-Health company which provides software products, solutions, platforms and services across health, aged care and social services.
Working closely with senior business unit leaders, the Commercial Manager will provide business partnering to support priorities and deliver strategic commercial insight to enable and support business growth.
Working alongside the business unit GMs, the Commercial Manager provides insightful reporting of business performance and play a key role in aligning business strategy and financial objectives. The Commercial Manager has ownership of business case development and facilitate robust business decision making processes to ensure optimal allocation of resources and return on capital.
This is a highly visible role with regular interaction with key internal and external stakeholders including exposure to the CFO, and CEO as well as presentation of monthly results to the Business. As such, strong relationship building skills at every level are therefore a must! In addition, the Commercial Manager must have exceptional communication and influencing skills and will thrive in an environment where they will be key to uplifting the commercial understanding of business leaders through proactive partnership, coaching, and knowledge sharing to leverage insights from across the business to help drive business decisions.
**Role Requirements**
- Business Partner to GMs
- Preparation of Monthly Scorecard
- Preparation of Monthly Business Review for all business units including P&Ls, headcount reporting and capex reporting for all divisions
- Monthly Cashflow & Net working capital reporting
- Integral part of MedicalDirector Group Reporting function - Preparation of monthly reporting, analysis and financial commentary
- Monthly presentation of financial results to the Business
- Preparation and analysis of business cases for the Business including commercial review
- Budgeting and Forecasting - annual budget, forecasts, and run-rate analysis
- Continued development of budgeting and reporting tool
**Knowledge & Experience Required**
- Strong financial modelling skills with ability to leverage technology to improve robustness of financial models and improve user experience
- A high level of conceptual, analytical, and interpretive skills with advanced excel skills
- Deep understanding of financial and commercial drivers
- Strong relationship building skills with expertise in the effective management of diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and able to work collaboratively
- Business partnering experience, preferably with experience in the Technology industry
- CA/CPA qualification or equivalent
- Experience working in a matrix environment
- Experience partnering with non-financial managers to improve financial literacy and drive results
