You will support the Nurse Unit Manager of the Acute Services providing leadership and direction to nursing and midwifery staff and is responsible for the facilitation and provision of safe, quality and cost-effective nursing care.
About us:
Mossman Hospital consists of an ED, Acute Ward (funded 13 beds), Aged Care (8 residents), Medical Imaging (USS & Xray only, business hours and on call after hours), Community Health and satellite Dialysis, whilst also offering outpatient services for Mental Health, ATODS, Maternity & Child Health.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will:
* Work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team utilising professional skills and ability to contribute to client centred care to meet the patient's individual health care needs.
* Demonstrate specialised knowledge, experience and clinical skills and competence in a particular area of expertise.
* Provide effective and efficient direct clinical care in Emergency and work in collaboration with the Nurse/Midwifery Unit Manger to ensure the maintenance of safe standards in patient care.
* Plan, coordinate and deliver advanced nursing care in complex situations and identifies and adopts innovative clinical practice models.
