We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical/Admin Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team at a busy specialist cardiology practice in Hobart.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and professional experience within our practice. This is a dynamic position requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet and assist patients in a professional and welcoming manner
* Manage patient records, including data entry and correspondence
* Handle patient enquiries via phone and email
* Book, confirm, and manage appointments
* Process patient accounts and referrals
* Manage incoming electronic mail and correspondence
* Perform end-of-day banking procedures
* Support daily appointment scheduling to ensure efficient workflow
* Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and sonographers
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Medical Receptionist (preferrable not essential)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Exceptional patient care and customer service focus
* Ability to multitask and use initiative in a fast-paced environment
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented
* Solid computer skills
