Job Title: Senior Kitchen Manager
We are seeking a skilled and experienced senior kitchen manager to oversee our busy commercial kitchen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintaining kitchen operations, ensuring consistency and efficiency in menu preparation, and managing inventory and stock levels.
* Leading the kitchen team during peak service periods, providing guidance and support to junior staff members.
* Collaborating with our head chef to develop new menu ideas and seasonal updates, incorporating local and fresh produce.
* Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, health and safety protocols, and maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
* Mentoring and training junior staff members, promoting teamwork and effective communication within the kitchen.
* Contributing to menu development, daily specials, and menu planning, working closely with the head chef and front-of-house team.
* Managing waste disposal, inventory management, and equipment maintenance to optimize kitchen efficiency.
* Developing and implementing strategies to improve kitchen performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate senior kitchen manager who is able to lead by example, inspire their team, and drive excellence in every aspect of kitchen operations.
* Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery (SIT30813) or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior kitchen management role, preferably in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and empower team members.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional results.
