Details : The Executive Education Leader, Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment (EEL CPA) is accountable for policy development, strategic planning, and system leadership across curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment, focusing on delivery of the Strong Foundations reform projects.
The role provides expert advice and ongoing support to the Minister, Director-General, Senior Executive, and Executive Governance Committee on strategic policy and operational areas, including in teaching and learning, from early childhood education through to Year 12.
As a leader in the Service Delivery and Design Group, the EEL CPA contributes to the design and delivery of significant school and system improvement initiatives aligned with the Directorate’s Strategic Plan and whole-of-government priorities.
The EEL CPA has responsibility for the strategic oversight, professional supervision and line management of the Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment Taskforce, a two-year branch structure designed to strengthen curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment in ACT schools through delivery of Strong Foundations projects.
The EEL CPA provides oversees functions to support high-quality education services, ensuring schools and school communities receive the necessary guidance, resources, and professional learning to deliver high-quality education for all ACT public school students. The role also oversees the administration of funding of learning and teaching services to schools to enhance their capacity and effectiveness.
Eligibility/Other Requirements
This is position falls under the Teacher and School Leaders Enterprise Agreement. Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification. Current professional teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) (or eligibility to obtain).

Where a school-based school leader is successful in their application, please note that you will need to coordinate with your Executive Education Leader to take the equivalent period of leave.
Note: This is a temporary position available for a period of 12 months with the possibility of extension for 12 months. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
