Social Worker - Senior (Specialist Palliative Rural Telehealth Service), Queensland Health
The Allied Health Service Division at Townsville University Hospital are seeking an experienced and client focused Social Worker - Senior to join their Specialist Palliative Rural Telehealth Service.
This is a permanent part-time role, working 68.4 hours per fortnight.
About the opportunity
The Specialist Palliative Care Rural Telehealth service provides multidisciplinary telehealth clinical palliative care support and guidance to rural and remote Townsville, North West and Mackay HHS's
There are four Regional Specialist Palliative Care Rural Telehealth Service Hubs. The service operates as a Hub and Spoke Model. The model enables Queenslanders living in rural, remote and isolated areas, greater equity of access to Specialist Palliative Care Service input, support and involvement when needed.
The Specialist Palliative Care Rural Telehealth Service offers video telehealth patient consultations and/or phone clinical support for clinicians in rural and remote facilities within neighbouring regional Hospital and Health Service– wherever there is an unmet palliative care need.
As a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, deliver Social Work services and Bereavement support across North Queensland Hospital and Health Services using Telehealth as the primary mode of support.

Salary range: $***** - $***** p.h. (HP4)
4 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% loading

Requirements:
The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in social work that provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Roster:
The incumbent understands and agrees to participation in rotation across clinical areas and campuses, On-call arrangements (including the Department's Emergency Clinical On-call Roster, which requires a 30minute response time), shift work (including early, late and night), as well as weekends and public holidays.
Blue Card Checks:
Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act **** requires Queensland Health to seek a 'working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position. 5.1.
