In this role, you'll be responsible for managing content across multiple brand portfolios within ADF Careers. You'll ensure social media activity goes live as planned and is implemented to a high standard with a strong focus on brand consistency and performance.

You'll work closely with Brand and Defence stakeholders, providing advice and feedback on content, and ensuring that campaigns deliver on objectives. With excellent attention to detail and an eye for what works on social media, you'll help bring our brand stories to life in engaging formats.

Job Description

The Social Media Officer will support the delivery of high quality, social first content that strengthens ADF Career's brand presence. You'll balance creative thinking with attention to detail, ensuring brand portfolios are managed effectively and content is delivered to a high standard.

You will:

* Manage content planning and publishing across the Navy, Army and Air Force brand portfolios
* Ensure all content is accurate, on brand and delivered to a consistently high standard
* Create, edit, and maintain social media content projects for various social media channels as directed
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand priorities and provide feedback on content and creative direction
* Manage the stakeholder feedback process ensuring input is captured, actioned and communicated clearly back to the team
* Track and report on content performance, providing insights and optimisations for improvement
* Engage with our community, monitoring posts and social media activity to ensure appropriateness of engagement and compliance
* Maintain knowledge of new and upcoming social media platforms, channels, and technology, presenting opportunities for ADF Careers to leverage, where appropriate

Candidate's Profile

We're looking for a creative and detail-focused social media professional who can balance stakeholder engagement with hands on content management. You'll be confident working with brand and Defence stakeholders, able to provide constructive feedback and have an eye for content that resonates on social media.

Your background will demonstrate:

* Ideally two years' experience in social media content creation and management (or similar role)
* Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in developing and implementing social media content
* Strong understanding of social-first creative and what engages audiences
* Experience working with creative and media agencies including creative briefing, project management, and content planning
* Strong attention to detail with an ability to manage competing priorities and maintain quality service delivery when working under pressure.
* A collaborative approach to building professional relationships and working within a team to contribute to the team vision.
* A proactive mindset and the ability to dig into projects, problem-solve and deliver results
* Strong stakeholder management skills with proven ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
* Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, business or a related field are not essential but would be highly regarded
