Hervey Bay Boat Club is seeking an experienced General Manager, who has the drive, vision and skills to ensure the Club continues its success and develops its licensed club, commercial businesses and boating and leisure activities to the next level.
The Club operates a vibrant venue and is one of the leading licensed clubs and hospitality venues on the Fraser Coast as well as a supporter of the local community.
The General Manager will report to the Board and is responsible for the profitable day-to-day operations, as well as developing and implementing the strategic direction of the Club.
The ideal applicant will demonstrate the following:
* Demonstrated management experience in large scale hospitality operations, licensed community and sporting clubs with gaming operations.
* Manage and motivate teams to share the organization’s purpose, vision and mission.
* Strong leadership, human resource and communication skills.
* Passion and drive for training and developing staff.
* Sound knowledge of food, beverage, functions, gaming operations, marketing, loyalty activities and legislative requirements.
* Experience supporting and developing sporting activities.
* Demonstrated innovative management techniques.
* Successful in developing and implementing commercial business strategies.
* Ability to contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans.
* Strong business acumen and financial knowledge.
* Manage and oversee other commercial business operations.
* Experience with managing capital expenditure and maintenance projects.
* Hold relevant gaming and liquor licensing certificates.
