We're looking for an experienced and proactive
Team Leader
to join our Surfacing Division, specialising in
asphalt and spray seal operations
. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on delivering high-quality outcomes through effective crew management, resource coordination, and project execution.
About the Role
As Team Leader, you will oversee daily surfacing operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You'll lead a dedicated crew, manage resources, and liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise surfacing crews on asphalt and spray seal projects
Coordinate equipment, materials, and personnel to meet project timelines
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
Provide hands-on support and training to team members
Communicate effectively with project managers and clients
Complete project documentation including prestarts, diaries and timesheets
About You
5–10 years' experience in asphalt/ spray seal operations, with prior leadership experience preferred
Strong communication, initiative, and decision-making skills
Construction Induction Whitecard, manual driver's licence, First Aid
Understanding of DSG standards and experience completing council contracts (desirable)
Ability to pass a fitness for work medical
