IPC Maintenance is currently seeking a Pipefitter to join our experienced fabrication team. IPC prides itself on the quality of our staff with a focus on finding and retaining the best people. The work will be completed at a large workshop and office facility based in the Henderson Marine Complex, as well as on various sites when required.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Read and interpret isometric and technical drawings.
- Measure and cut pipes according to requirements.
- Weld, assemble, and lubricate pipes.
- Install and secure pipes (e.g., with clamps).
- Repairing malfunctions, including fixed plant maintenance and repair.
- Testing pipe systems to ensure safety and functionality.
- Inspect and prepare sites for construction operations.
- Work with materials including stainless steel,
- Use and maintain tools.
- Safe work methods - JSA's, Take5, Work Permits, PPE etc.
- Collaborate with other workers to produce finished constructions.
**The following criteria are required for Pipefitters;**
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of health and safety guidelines when dealing with dangerous equipment.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up-to 25kg.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week, consistently.
- High level of safety awareness and compliance.
- Ability to pass and maintain fitness for work program.
- Energy to meet the demands of our environment and time restraints.
- You must be reliable, enthusiastic, and work autonomously.
- Must have the right to work in Australia.
- Must have Driver's Licence and reliable car.
