Tarkine Consulting is working with a specialist testing consultancy supporting a large-scale insurance platform program. This work sits within an end-to-end test team responsible for validating customer and business journeys across policy, claims, billing, and document workflows. This is a hands-on automation role, contributing to regression testing, platform validation, and ensuring systems operate seamlessly across integrated environments. What you’ll be doing Develop and execute automated tests across web and API-based applications Contribute to end-to-end testing of customer journeys across insurance platforms Ensure automated tests are stable, reusable, and effective across browsers and environments Validate system behaviour across policy, claims, billing, and document workflows Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing clear updates on progress and risks Support defect management, test execution, and release validation activities Configure and maintain test environments What we’re looking for Experience in automation testing across web and API applications Hands-on experience with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks Strong understanding of test frameworks (Page Object Model, data-driven, hybrid) Experience with REST API testing (Rest Assured, Postman, or similar) Solid understanding of test design, execution, and defect management processes Experience working within Agile delivery teams Highly regarded Experience with Guidewire (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) Exposure to end-to-end testing across complex enterprise platforms Experience with Java or TypeScript-based automation Familiarity with JIRA, Xray, or similar tools Why apply Work across full end-to-end insurance journeys, not isolated components Join a delivery team focused on system integration and platform quality Long-term program with extension potential Collaborative environment working across multiple squads Additional details Melbourne-based role with hybrid working (minimum on-site expectation applies) Initial 6-month contract with extension potential Competitive day rate aligned to market Equal Opportunity Tarkine Consulting and our client are equal opportunity employers.
