About the Client
Our client delivers essential services infrastructure projects across remote and regional communities, supporting the installation, maintenance and repair of critical power and water services. They are committed to safe work practices, culturally respectful engagement, and providing reliable infrastructure solutions that support community development.
What You Will Be Doing:
You will be assisting qualified tradespeople with the maintenance, repair and installation of essential services infrastructure within a remote community. This includes supporting the electrical and plumbing teams with trenching for water pipelines and assisting with the installation of power lines.
Your duties will involve operating and maintaining hand tools and basic equipment under supervision, preparing work sites, completing clean-up tasks, and assisting with the transport and logistics of materials and equipment. You will be required to follow workplace health and safety procedures, attend daily pre-starts and safety briefings, and document completed work while tracking material usage.
The role also requires respectful communication with community members and contributing to culturally sensitive service delivery in a remote environment.
What You Will Need:
* Valid Drivers Licence (HR/HC highly desirable)
* White Card
* First Aid & CPR
* Confined Space & Gas Testing
* Working at Heights
* Forklift Licence (LF)
* EWP, Crane/Hiab or Excavator ticket highly desirable
* Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
* Previous experience working in remote or Indigenous communities (highly desirable)
* Strong teamwork, communication skills and cultural awareness
* Full working rights in Australia
