Position: Business Development Manager

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to establish and expand the market presence of our partner brands. You will be the primary driver of growth, tasked with forging strong relationships with key vertical markets. Your success will be measured by your ability to meet sales targets, expand our customer base, and solidify our position as a leading distributor of innovative tech products.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve growth targets for multiple brands and products.
• Identify, cultivate, and secure new business opportunities within our target markets.
• Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts, including major camera or IT retailers.
• Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategy, and agreement closures to maximize profitability and sales volume.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales tactics.
• Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients and partners.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective sales collateral and promotional campaigns tailored to the Australian market.
•Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and feedback to senior management on performance, market intelligence, and opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
• 5+ years of proven experience in a Business Development, National Account Management, or Sales role within the consumer electronics or IT industries in Australia.
• A demonstrable track record of exceeding sales targets and driving significant business growth.
• Strong existing relationships with, or extensive experience selling into, major Australian retailers.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to work autonomously.
Desired:
• Experience in channel sales and distribution.
• Previous experience selling into the education or government sectors.
• A genuine passion for and understanding of consumer technology, including 3D printers, drones, or photography/videography equipment.
• Proficiency with CRM software.
