Medical Director Papua New Guinea Opportunity
Seek a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead clinical operations of a remote community medical facility in Papua New Guinea. This leadership role involves direct patient care, medical oversight, coordination of referrals and evacuations, and ensuring delivery of safe high-quality healthcare aligned with global and local health frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Represent Medical Services with Health Service Manager to Client External Stakeholders and Community Members.
* Provide Clinical Strategic leadership to Medical Services of the Medical Centre Mine Site Clinic and Camp Site Clinic.
* Undertake clinical responsibilities in hospital by being actively involved in patient care to include consultation secondary review and recommendations for Medical Referrals and Medical Evacuations as required.
* Coordinate Medical Emergencies Medical Referrals and Medical Evacuations according to Standard Operating procedures and MERP to include coordination communication documentation and reporting.
Essential Criteria:
* Medical degree and current unrestricted license to practise.
* Minimum ten years of experience to include trauma/emergency occupational health family medicine and minimum 5 years leadership or management roles.
* Leadership experience in medical setting including remote or resource-limited environments.
* Ability to work under pressure and provide clinical guidance in complex cases.
