Programmed Electrical Technologies currently has a great opportunity due to an expanding workload for a hands-on Electrical & Communication Technician to join our NSW team. Working on predominantly government and Defense sites, you will be responsible for general electrical services across the projects including fit-out installation work, fault finding, switchboard servicing, light installation and upgrades. Due to the nature of the projects, having communications endorsements and experience would also be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
* Fiber optic cabling and structured cabling installation, termination and fit offs.
* Communications rack set up and installations.
* Installation, termination, and fit off of electrical infrastructure and apparatus
* Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
* Perform routine maintenance and system upgrades to enhance performance.
* Collaborate with clients to understand their electrical and communication cabling needs and provide tailored solutions.
* Document all installation, maintenance, and repair activities accurately and comprehensively.
* Adhere to industry standards and safety regulations in all tasks.
About You
To join our team, you will have an open registration cabling license with a passion to provide quality work and a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others. Additionally, you will have;
* Electrical license or ACMA license is mandatory
* Certificate III in telecommunications is desirable
* Experience in defense or commercial installations
* Defense clearance is highly regarded
* Current driver's license
* Demonstrate a professional approach to the workplace
* Execute work that is of a high standard
* A strong commitment to and understanding of quality, environmental, occupational health and safety management systems.
