Purchasing Officer Job Description:

Main Responsibilities:
- Stock Management: Monitor and maintain stock levels, identifying opportunities to improve our inventory turnover rates.
- Supplier Engagement: Process credits and returns with our suppliers, fostering strong relationships to ensure seamless communication and prompt resolution of any issues.
- Inventory Performance: Drive profitable inventory performance through data analysis and strategic decision-making.
- Purchasing: Oversee daily purchasing requirements, checking replenishment orders as needed to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Reporting: Support stocktakes and associated reports, providing accurate and detailed information to inform business decisions.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role in a retail business, with a focus on inventory management and supplier engagement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Intermediate MS Excel skills, with experience using software to analyze data and create reports.
