Join the Akron Group NT Pty Ltd team as a Traffic Management Designer in our Berrimah, NT office.
This is a full-time position supporting one of the largest traffic control companies in the NT, servicing a number of high profile government, local council, and private clients Territory wide.
What you'll be doing
Develop and implement comprehensive traffic management plans for construction sites and projects
Liaise with relevant authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits for traffic management plans
Conduct site inspections and monitor the implementation of traffic management measures
The ability to attend sites, identify safety issues and assess the situation to make changes instantly, if required
Provide technical advice and guidance to project teams on traffic management best practices
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of traffic management activities
Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Traffic Management Designer Level 1 and Level 2 or valid WZ1
RIISS00063 Traffic Management Designer Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads (Essential)
RIISS00064 Traffic Management Designer Skill Set for High Volume Roads (Desirable or willing to obtain)
Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive traffic management plans
Strong understanding of relevant traffic management regulations, standards and best practices
Proficient in using traffic management design software Rapid Plan and tools
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Role includes after hours and on call responsibility that are shared with the team
