Apprentice Mechanic

ââ$19.39 - â$30.46â per hour (dependent on age & applicable apprenticeship$16 attendance allowance payable daily on rostered hoursOngoing Training and Development both on the job and through RTO

What We Offer

Role Responsibilities

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role requires you to have a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills. Your main responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Under supervision, learning the skills required to be part of the Workshop teamPerforming minor repairs and service of vehicles and equipment, in a timely manner, within your skill level and experience, under the supervision of a qualified tradespersonEnter into a 4-year training contract within a secure employment environment, undertaking a nationally recognised training program as a Diesel Mechanic - Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanical TechnologyCompleting all units of the apprenticeship to the required standards and within the required time frame(s)Attending all required TAFE classes under the guidance of your mentors, supervisor and teachersAdhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements whilst performing work duties

Work alongside trade qualified staff to assist the team in meeting the daily operational requirements whilst learning a trade along the wayAssist in maintaining a fleet of vehicles including the latest models and innovative vehicle technologyReceive full 'on the job' training from a mentor with solid mechanical experience, along with training and support from your TAFE lecturersBuild a secure recession proof career that is always in demandWork as directed by Supervisor

Our workshop staff play a critical role within the business to ensure our ever-evolving fleet of vehicles are continually maintained to the highest standard to keep our staff and passengers safe out on the road.

You can expect to be provided with all necessary training, this will include relevant information about our various makes and models of vehicles to ensure a thorough understanding of standards required to meet contract obligations.
