**THE POSITION**
- This role provides a strategic lens to bids through managing the planning, development and delivery of client focused solutions that are differentiated and competitive to deliver sector growth targets.
- The position will be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering responses through strategic and commercially focussed tenders and bids.
- Managing, leading, and developing the OR Bid Support Team
- Utilising, optimising, and enforcing bid processes at every stage of proposal development.
- Understanding the key client drivers and associated bid strategies, and articulating our solution in a clear, concise and compelling response.
- Collaborating with teams throughout the business to develop innovative solutions and commercial offers.
- Liaising with leaders to ensure all opportunities are appropriately resourced.
- Managing the bid lodgement and bid governance processes.
- Acting as the central point of contact for bid requests for the sales and operations teams.
- Writing, editing, reviewing and managing bid content.
- Continuously improving our bid processes and tools (including procedures, templates, and content library) to streamline bid preparation and improve submission quality.
**THE PERSON**
- Degree qualified, minimum 3 years' experience.
- Bid management experience on large complex bids (within contract catering and soft services industry beneficial) with a successful track record.
- Ability to develop client-oriented solutions creatively and profitably.
- A strong leader with ability to coach, mentor and inspire people from all cultures and motivations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills at senior management / executive level.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision making and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with multiple stakeholders (e.g., customers, owners, colleagues, suppliers, corporate) with ability to work and interface credibly with peers.
- Ability to extract the key elements of the solution and offer to develop a compelling bid that clearly articulates the value of our offer.
- Ability to manage diverse project teams including senior leaders.
- Highly competent with MS Office (and ideally capable with Adobe InDesign)
