Career Opportunity: Clinical Nurse Manager
St John of God Health Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced nurse leader to join our multidisciplinary team in the Theatre Department.
The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction for the overall coordination and management of the unit, with the objective of achieving best practice outcomes from both a customer and business perspective while supporting and promoting the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
* Maintains responsibility for the standards and quality of clinical practice within Scrub, Scout and Perioperative Services.
* Contributes to Hospital strategic and operational goals.
* Develops and maintains excellent standards of care including ongoing evaluation and promotion of quality improvement initiatives.
* Monitors compliance with perioperative standards and procedures and initiates corrective action as required.
* Prepares and implements, in conjunction with the DDON and Finance, the annual Operational Plan/Management Plan for the unit.
* Achieves accreditation/compliance with national/state standards & inspections.
* Provides and promotes person-centred care to deliver exceptional patient experience informed by patient feedback and data.
* Participates in the implementation and maintenance of a workforce model/model of care that enables quality of care to be maintained as well as implementing appropriate levels of workforce skills.
* Provides sound leadership and management of staff.
* Prioritises workload using resources effectively.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
* Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care.
* Experience in nursing management in a perioperative setting with knowledge of contemporary health issues in the perioperative environment.
* Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary healthcare team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
