Salary
$115.33 gross per hour (TAFE Queensland Educators’ Certified Agreement 2023)
Teacher (full-time equivalent)
$92, 930 - $122, 084 (gross) per annum (TAFE Queensland Educators’ Certified Agreement 2023)
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must possess AHC30722 Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent and/or AHC30921 Certificate III in Landscape Construction, AHC31024 Cert III in Parks and Gardens or equivalent, and the following:
- current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
- current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
- evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment;
- current Queensland Driver’s licence.
Additionally, to become a TAFE Teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills (or TAELLN401A) and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools (or TAESS502A or TAEASS502B); or
- TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
- TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or
- TAE50211 Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
- TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development or its successor; or
- A higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
Highly Desirable
Candidates who possess the following will be highly regarded:
- High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Management Systems).
