MME Underground Services specialises in the installation of underground infrastructure using trenchless technologies and civil construction methods, delivering projects for Western Power to the highest standards of safety and quality. We are seeking a skilled and motivated site Manager to join the team.

The Site Manager is accountable for planning, preparation, initiating, monitoring, adjusting and reporting on the implementation of the construction plan, and that works are carried out by employees, labour hire, subcontractors and all material plant and equipment in accordance with the contractual requirements.

Each of the projects the Site Manager is accountable for, they are required to achieve optimum production and budget outcomes through the management of employees, labour hire labour, subcontractors and all material plant and equipment whilst maintaining a healthy and safe work environment and committing to environment and sustainability requirements.

The Site Manager is accountable for Senior Supervisors and Site Supervisors who are assigned to individual projects. They are required to be able to plan and be in attendance when required, this role is predominately site based.

Key Accountabilities

* HSEQ
o Ensuring all employees, labour hire and subcontractors comply with Company Policies, Procedures, SWMS etc.
o Participate in CRAW's
o Accountable ensuring others relay HSEQ rules and regulations, legislation and specific site instructions to teams and subcontractors.
o Conduct site HSEQ inspections in accordance with KPI's, assist in internal and external HSEQ audits as required, and, if necessary, manage the implementation of corrective measures.
o Accountable for the risk management and emergency processes on site.
o Accountable that all employees, labour hire and subcontractors use required personal protective equipment and any installed safety equipment is appropriate.
* Planning / Scheduling
o In consultation with the Project Manager, provide input on the project scope and required deliverables from drawings and technical specifications.
o Provide clarification and assistance to other project team members on the project scope.
o In consultation with the Project Manager, draft a construction management plan that makes best use of the available resources and meets the project delivery requirements to enable completion of the project on budget and within allocated time.
o Identify site‐specific delivery risks, and contingencies to be allowed for in the execution of the plan (e.g., requirements for traffic management).
o Identify the methodologies and work packages required for the execution of the construction plan to meet project delivery targets and specifications, and develop a firm construction schedule.
o Identify required resources for the effective and efficient delivery of the work packages, and establish a resource management plan for the works, in consultation with the Project Manager and Senior Contracts Administrator.
o Review the estimate of the cost of execution of the construction plan in consultation with the Project Manager and Senior Contracts Administrator, and confirm the budget for the works.
o Manage the key performance indicators to be used in the monitoring and assessment of works delivery performance.
o Gain approval for the construction management plan from the Project Manager, and communicate the final plan and schedule to stakeholders.
* Subcontractor and Labour Hire
o Accountable for the tasks of subcontractors and labour hire with the Site Supervisor and assist in the selection of in conjunction with the Contracts Administrator and Project Manager.
o Accountable for the allocation of work packages to subcontractors to make effective use of available resources.
o Communicate with, and give clear direction to subcontractors regarding the project's schedule, performance targets and milestones, and Company expectations.
o Accountable for monitoring of subcontractors' performance and, where necessary, implement corrective actions, in consultation with the Project Manager, to ensure project plans and milestones are met.

Qualifications & Requirements

* Cert IV or Diploma in Frontline Management
* Minimum of 10 years' experience in the civil construction industry as Site Manager
* Experience in the management of construction infrastructure projects
