Job Role: Project Engineer
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of civil/demolition projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing project plans and ensuring their implementation.
* Interpreting and applying Australian Standards for civil/demolition engineering.
* Risk assessment and management of civil construction methods.
* Scope, programme, method and budget management.
* Sequencing and staging development, and securing approvals.
* Accurate cost tracking and production monitoring against budget.
* Documentation development – specification review and quality assurance.
* Client and key stakeholder engagement.
* Management of project-related subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
* Liaison with Site Supervisor/Foreman.
* Procurement, purchasing and contract management for all projects.
* Estimate and variation development, including man-hours, costs and quantities.
* Planning, progress monitoring and reporting, including audits and inspections.
* Contribution to continuous improvement of QSE management systems.
Essential Qualifications:
* Tertiary degree in engineering or related construction qualification.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Passion for people and safety.
* Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
* High level of decision-making and problem-solving ability.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Proven capacity to multi-task.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Excellent time-management skills with ability to prioritise and follow-up.
* Strong interpersonal communication skills.
* Computer literate with fast typing speed and accuracy.
