Abrolhos Steel is a trusted supplier and distributor of quality steel products proudly serving the Mid West and wider Western Australia. We are seeking a motivated and friendly Delivery Driver / Storeman to join our team in Geraldton.
About the Role
In this position, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of our yard, supporting the safe and efficient movement of goods/stock. The role involves operating machinery, assisting with freight handling, completing required documentation, dealing with customers, and maintaining a safe and organised yard environment.
You will work closely with the warehouse supervisor and other team members to ensure goods are received, stored, and dispatched correctly.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out general yard duties including housekeeping, labour‐intensive tasks, and other duties as directed by your supervisor.
* Receive and dispatch goods as required.
* Operate a forklift to load and unload freight, pallets, containers, and other suitable items.
* Ensure loads are properly restrained and comply with company safety standards for load security.
* Ensure all mass and axle weights are within permissible limits.
* Complete required documentation including driver run sheets and daily vehicle checks.
* Ensure all equipment used is in safe working condition and suitable for the task.
* Adhere to all relevant laws, company policies, procedures, and regulations.
* Report hazards, mechanical failures, incidents, or compliance issues to your supervisor.
* Participate in training and development programs as required.
* Work within your responsibilities under the Work Health and Safety Act and company safety procedures.
About You

Qualifications
* Forklift Licence – required
* HR Driver's Licence – required
* Telehandler Licence – desirable
Skills & Experience
* Previous transport yard or logistics experience (preferred).
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Strong commitment to workplace safety.
* Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to follow lawful instructions.
* Ability to complete required paperwork accurately.
* Willingness to undergo Drug and Alcohol testing when required.
