We are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the team as an Area Sales Manager. The role will be home office based positions covering the Newcastle, Hunter Valley and the New England region. Due to the level of local and regional travel required, the role includes the use of a Tool of Trade vehicle.
Position Responsibilities will include:
8. Developing, maintaining and executing territory plans to achieve sales, profit targets, and the expansion of market share.
9. Consistent planning and relationship management of a customer base
10. Developing new business opportunities
11. Presenting and promoting product releases in addition to promotional activities to build brand awareness.
12. General feedback on market trends, activities and competitor information
13. Review and completion of relevant reporting requirements in a timely manner.
14. Providing accurate sales forecasts and developing initiatives to close gaps or optimize new opportunities
15. Attendance at trade events, new store openings and scheduled training.
Qualifications
You should be able to demonstrate the following:
16. A high level of market, competitor and product knowledge
17. Experience using CRM programs
18. Web based reporting using Tableau or similar reporting tools
19. Proficient in MS Office and MS Teams
20. The ability to uphold and execute all sales excellence processes and standards
21. Proven sales experience and success
22. Planning, negotiation, and presentation skills
23. High attention to detail and self-discipline
24. Power tools / hardware / trade experience is desirable, but not essential.
25. Exposure to the Construction industry is advantageous
26. A strong level of business acumen is highly regarded
27. Availability of regular state-based travel and occasional interstate travel
