full-time (1.0 EFT), ongoing basis

The Administration Officer (Public Health) plays a vital role in supporting the Gippsland Public Health Unit. This position provides high-level administrative and project support to the Directors, managers, and the broader team, ensuring a smooth delivery of GRPHU\'s public health operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator or early-career public health professional to gain hands-on experience in a energetic regional health setting.

Responsibilities
Provide high-level administrative support including scheduling, correspondence, document management, and handling enquiries.
Coordinate meetings, projects, training and events, ensuring agendas, papers, minutes and actions are delivered on time.
Support purchasing, finance processing, fleet management, and facilities compliance.
Assist with data collection, reporting, and preparation of strategic documents, presentations, and communication materials.
Contribute to stakeholder engagement activities, including forums, workshops and surveys.
Uphold confidentiality, compliance, and professional standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvements.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
Demonstrated experience in administration, preferably in the health or the community sector.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
High-level computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, and tools such as Canva.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders.
Initiative, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
