About the Role
The Operations Manager will lead the on-the-ground execution of our business model, a unique, multifaceted leadership role that combines operational management, environmental strategy, and business analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of our biodiversity restoration program using Environmental Plantings.
* Collaborate with ecology teams to design and implement site-specific revegetation plans.
* Manage the full lifecycle of restoration projects—from budgeting and planning to planting and ongoing maintenance.
* Guide and mentor internal and external restoration teams.
* Integrate ecological plantings within active farm operations.
* Support the Executive General Manager and Property Managers in developing and managing farm budgets.
* Oversee reporting and performance tracking for cropping, livestock, and environmental projects.
* Analyse financial and operational data to inform strategic decisions.
* Assist in investment assessments and due diligence for new properties and development opportunities.
* Stay ahead of trends in agriculture, biodiversity, and carbon markets.
* Proactively suggest operational improvements and innovation opportunities.
* Build and nurture key relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for a hands-on leader and strategic thinker with experience across both farming and land restoration. You should thrive in cross-functional environments, be passionate about sustainable agriculture, and enjoy seeing projects through from idea to implementation.
Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field (master's degree desirable).
* Demonstrated experience in agricultural operations, ecological restoration, and/or carbon project development.
* Solid understanding of biodiversity, environmental plantings, and agricultural best practices.
* Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
* Financial and project management capabilities.
* Willingness to work in the field and travel regularly.
