Passionate and professional Registered Nurses are sought to join our BRHS Rehabilitation Unit and enhance their nursing skills by providing safe and effective care to patients following surgery, illness or accident, and other conditions. You will enjoy a rewarding role and work alongside with a highly capable team to support patient's effective and timely transition back to their home.
The contracts:
1 x Fixed Term, Part Time Parental Leave contract, 64.0 hours per fortnight. Estimated completion 25.11.
1 x Ongoing, Full Time contract, 80.0 hours per fortnight with ADO. EFT split will be considered.
The role:
BRHS rehabilitation nurses work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to develop goal-directed care plans encouraging participation from patients. Our Flanagan nurses enjoy the relationship building with patients and family members in this ward and find it extremely fulfilling to see patients achieve their objectives. Applicants who are who are interested in specialising in rehabilitation or Drug and Alcohol nursing will be strongly supported to pursue further studies in these disciplines.
The department:
The Flanagan Rehabilitation Ward is a 20 bed unit. It is comprised of Rehabilitation / Geriatric Evaluation and Management beds, Transition Care Program (TCP) beds and alcohol and other drug detoxification beds, providing a diverse mix of patient care requirements.

Key criteria:
8. Current AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse
9. Demonstrated competence in a clinical setting preferably in the sub-acute setting
10. Ability to undertake full patient assessments and develop a goal based care plan
11. Proven ability to follow direction from experienced team members and provide guidance to students and inexperienced team members
