The APSBO team is at the forefront of delivering best-in-class digital experiences to consumers across the Asia Pacific Region. The Strategic Partnerships Manager serves as the face of Samsung to some of our most important content partners. Current and prospective content partners include major studios, broadcasters, publishers, and digital media companies.

About the Position:

This position will focus on supporting Australian based content partners, with responsibility for onboarding partners to new features and services, ensuring partner success, and supporting revenue growth through on platform editorial curation via the Samsung Universal Guide.

The candidate should have experience working at the cross-section of “content” (media, entertainment, gaming and/or art) and technology, and evolving business models. You will also need a keen sense of product awareness to articulate platform value and represent product requirements. Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to dive deeply into both business and technical issues will be critical to success in this role.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, as well as a strong analytical bent and the ability to navigate and embrace complexity. They will demonstrate knowledge of verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, drive presentations, and represent Samsung to all levels of partner organisations. Previous experience administering content partnerships at a digital media company, broadcaster, content service provider, or app-store is highly regarded.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Develop highly effective, deep relationships with key partners. Provide day-to-day management of partner relationships with a focus on growth activities.
* Act as a partner product marketing expert and manage both; on platform editorial curation and audience development via the Samsung Universal Guide, and off platform marketing collaboration opportunities between key partners and Samsung.
* Lead partner meetings and prepare strategy documents, quarterly business reviews, and presentations
* Set account strategy and business objectives per partner; define and track KPIs; take responsibility for mobilising partners and internal resources to execute to meet goals
* Work cross-functionally across the business, product, marketing, operations, and other parts of the organisation (including Korea HQ) to develop and execute partnerships strategy
* Drive thought leadership on the evolving content ecosystem landscape and advocate across the organisation on behalf of partners and potential opportunities.

Background/Experience Required:

* Degree in business, marketing or related discipline
* 5+ years of experience in content programming, business development, partnerships within the media industry
* Deep understanding of the Australian media landscape with knowledge of current and developing audience trends
* Exceptional analytical abilities, attention to detail, and organisational skills to work cross functionally with other teams to launch products and features
* Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate large, global organisations
* Operational experience in the curation and promotion of content catalogues
* Self-motivated, assertive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* Passionate about content, technology, and media trends
* Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is necessary
* Willingness for occasional travel
