Nurse Unit Manager
The Nurse Unit Manager leads and manages nursing, midwifery, and assistant nurses to deliver evidence-based care that achieves optimal patient outcomes within allocated resources. They are responsible for improving and maintaining standards, developing solutions, and delivering outcomes consistent with service and organisational imperatives and targets.
This key leadership position ensures the unit meets the requirements for delivery of a patient-centred service against key performance indicators: quality, budget, and human resources. The Nurse Unit Manager provides consultation and liaison services within their area of expertise to relevant internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage nursing teams to deliver high-quality patient care
* Develop and implement plans to improve patient outcomes and meet service targets
* Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards
* Provide consultation and liaison services to internal and external customers
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) or a graduate nurse with a strong commitment to completing your studies
* Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing nursing teams
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals
