Our Client is a national, independently owned company specialising in new builds, renovations & refurbishments across the healthcare sector. They are now looking for an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to join their team on a permanent basis. With a strong, secured pipeline of works, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role within an established business known for their exceptionally high quality projects, who still has further plans for growth within Queensland.
The Role
As a Leading Hand, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality commercial projects, working closely with the Site Manager to coordinate trades, manage site activities and ensure works are completed safely, on time and to specification.
* Leading and supervising site trades and subcontractors
* Completing hands‐on carpentry work across renovations, refurbishments and new builds
* Coordinating day‐to‐day site activities and managing workflow
* Ensuring all works are completed in line with drawings and specifications
* Supporting site safety and maintaining a clean, compliant work environment
* Assisting with site scheduling, deliveries and material coordination
* Liaising with project managers, suppliers and trades
About You
* Trade-qualified Carpenter
* Proven experience as a Leading Hand or Senior Carpenter on commercial or residential projects
* Experience across renovations, refurbishments and/or new builds
* Ability to read and interpret architectural plans & drawings
* Strong leadership and communication skills
