Role Overview:
Tax Agent - We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field and be adept at handling various tax-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
* Preparing and lodging tax returns for individuals and businesses.
* Managing GST and BAS requirements.
* Providing tax advice and planning services to clients.
* Keeping up to date with legislative changes and implementing them as required.
* Communicating effectively with clients to ensure compliance and optimisation of tax obligations.
* Conduct data entry and manage day-to-day operations as needed.
Qualifications:
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a tax agent role or similar position.
* Professional Registration: Must be a registered tax agent with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB).
* Educational Background: A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
* BAS Lodgement: Demonstrated experience in the preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements (BAS).
* Taxation Knowledge: Strong understanding of Australian taxation laws and regulations.
* Attention to Detail: Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
* Work Rights: Must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this position.
